IatriScan is a cost-effective document imaging solution designed specifically to integrate with the Meditech HCIS for point of service document imaging. IatriScan interfaces the power of MAGIC integration with the graphical capabilities of PC imaging software.  The concept of point of service scanning is further expanded when the application is integrated with multipleMeditech modules.  The big difference between point of service and after the fact batch scanning solutions, is that documents are scanned at the point where they are initiated.  Nearly all documents that are related to the different Meditech modules can be scanned.  Here are some common documents organizations are targeting for point of service scanning: Insurance Cards, Physician Orders, HMO Waivers, Consent Forms, Patient Correspondence, Reference Lab Reports, Driver’s Licenses, Insurance Remittances, Employee Documents, Employee Pre-Screening reports, and many others. 

·        Direct integration to Meditech modules allowing for scanning to become part of standard patient processes.

·        Images may be viewed during patient processing, through PCI, and through a Stand Alone viewer.

·        Works with Twain compliant image capture devices.  (Please refer to the IatriScan list of approved devices.)

·        Import and integrate image files from outside sources.

·        Export indexed image files to other systems for long-term storage.

·        Ability to use “off the shelf” hardware and networking tools,  (NT, Novell).  No imaging server is required.

·        Ability to fax images through the use of standard Network based faxing solutions.

·        Familiar Magic based user interface allowing for easier implementation and staff training.
